Toyota Fortuner, Adventure Across Various Road Conditions

Within Southeast Asia, Toyota introduced the Fortuner to the public for the first time in December 2004 in Thailand. In Indonesia, this product first appeared at the Jakarta International Motor Show which was held in 2005.

Continuing in August 2007, the Fortuner with a diesel engine 2KD FTV 2.5 Liter D-4D or Direct Four Stroke Turbo Common Rail Injection began to be widely marketed in Indonesia. By using Common Rail technology, the diesel engine used at the Fortuner at that time was identical to the engine on the Kijang Innova.

Initially, the diesel variant was launched only in manual form, but in 2009, Toyota began to consider a diesel automatic transmission in its products.

For engine business, Toyota has joined the Fortuner with 2 GD FTV 4 Cylinder, 16 Valve DOHC cylinder with 2,362 cc contents. With this type of engine, the maximum power that can be reached by the Fortuner reaches 149.6 Ps / 3,400 rpm while the maximum torque is 40.8 / 1,200-2,800 rpm.

Fortuner is known to have dimensions of about 4,795 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width and 1,835 mm in height. The wheel axle distance is 2,745 mm with a front distance of 1,545 mm and a distance of 1,550 mm of the rear.

From the chassis side, the Fortuner is equipped with a 6 Speed ​​Automatic / 6 Speed ​​Manual transmission. For the front suspension, Toyota uses the Double Wishbone with Coil Spring and Stabilizer / Double Wishbone with Coil Spring and Stabilizer.

Talking about the Coil Spring and Stabilizer, Fortuner is packed with 4 Links with Coil Spring and Lateral Road as the rear suspension, Disc Vent as front and rear brakes, and the installation of Side Airbag-Front.

To support the in-car safety system, Toyota installs its products with a number of interesting features.
