A clean fuel supply is absolutely essential for reliable engine operation and fuel system performance. The fuel filter is the fuel system’s primary line of defense against dirt, which is why replacing the fuel filter is so important. Debris and small particles of rust that flake off the inside of the fuel tank are all trapped in the fuel filter.  To prevent the big pieces of dirt and rust from entering the fuel line, there is a mesh filter sock on the end of the fuel pickup tube inside the gas tank. This does not keep out smaller particles that can be so troublesome and that is where the fuel filter come into play. These contaminants can plug fuel metering orifices in a carburetor or prevent valves from seating if not trapped by the filter. Straight away you can feel that the Honda Civic Type R is a practical hot hatch. It is quite spacious, but has a fairly low driving position with simple instruments. Drive off down a poorly surfaced road, and you know this is a hot hatch the ride is hard. But you know that this is a quick car soon not surprising really, top speed is 146 mph, and the Civic Type R can accelerate to 60 mph in 6.6 seconds. No doubt vexed by the power of the new Dodge Viper SRT-10, GM has upped the anti with the launch of the 647 bhp Corvette ZR1. Not the latest Corvettes are lacking, as they have made quite a mark in endurance racing over the past couple of years with the 7-liter Corvette Z06. Instead of getting more power out of that big engine, GM has opted for a new version of the 6.0 liter job, now enlarged to 6.2 liters. Not only that, but this new engine is supercharged to increase power throughout the range, producing 140 bhp more than the Corvette Z06 7.0 liter unit. The Brake caliper is an important brake component. Most of today’s vehicles feature disc-braking system. Although generally used for front wheels, disc brakes are increasingly used in many cars and trucks for rear wheels as well. The brake caliper is fitted over the rotor and helps the vehicle to come to a stop by creating friction with the rotor. Rotors are metal discs attached to the wheels and they spin along them.
